Default Tier

Users without an active subscription get Basic — a one-time 100-message free trial. Basic does not reset; once consumed, you must upgrade to keep messaging.

Message Limits

Notes: - Each AI response counts as 1 message (regardless of length or model) - Medium and Pro reset on the billing-cycle date; unused messages do not roll over - Basic is one-time — when it's exhausted, sending pauses permanently until you upgrade

Rate Limits

Per-endpoint per-minute throttling is applied across the API to prevent abuse (e.g. password reset is more aggressive than chat). Rates increase with tier on most endpoints. You will not hit these in normal product use; if you do, the API returns 429 RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED and you can retry after a short wait.

Overflow Rates

Overflow billing is available on Medium and Pro only. Basic cannot top up — sending pauses permanently when the 100-message lifetime trial is consumed.
