Profile Settings¶
Manage your profile information, avatar, and personal preferences.
Profile Information¶
- Display Name
- Your name shown throughout the platform. Click edit, enter new name, and save.
- Email Address
- Used for login, notifications, and billing. Changes require verification.
Email Verification Required
Email changes take effect after verification. Some plans may restrict email changes.
Profile Avatar¶
Upload:
- Click Upload Avatar
- Select image (PNG, JPG, GIF - max 2MB, square recommended)
- Preview and save
Guidelines: - At least 200x200 pixels - Square aspect ratio works best - Clear, professional image - No copyrighted content
Remove: Click Reset to Default in avatar settings
Account Details¶
- Your account email address
- Member Since
- Account creation date
- Current Tier
- Subscription level
- Account Status
- Active, trial, etc.
- Account Type
- Standard (regular user), Admin (administrative privileges), or Team Member
Notification Preferences¶
Toggle notifications in your account settings:
- Usage Alerts
- Near limit warnings (default: On)
- Billing
- Receipts and payment issues (default: On)
- Product Updates
- New features and changes (default: On)
- Tips & Tutorials
- How-to content (default: Off)
- Marketing
- Promotional content (default: Off)
- Usage Alert Thresholds
- Choose when to receive warnings: 50%, 70%, 80%, or 90%
Security Settings¶
Security Best Practices
Protect your account:
- Use a unique, strong password (8+ characters, mix of uppercase, numbers, symbols)
- Use a password manager
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Review active sessions monthly
- End unfamiliar sessions immediately
- Keep your email account secure
Password Management¶
- Go to Account → Security Settings → Change Password
- Enter current password, new password, and confirm
- Click Save
Active Sessions¶
View device, browser, location, and timestamps for all active sessions. End unfamiliar sessions immediately.
Monthly Security Audit
Review sessions monthly. End unfamiliar sessions and change your password if needed.
Two-Factor Authentication¶
Setup:
- Account → Security Settings → Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Scan QR code with authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy)
- Enter verification code
- Save backup codes securely
Usage: Enter 6-digit code from authenticator after password (refreshes every 30 seconds)
Save Backup Codes
Store backup codes separately from your device. Each can only be used once.
Account Preferences¶
- Language & Region
- Display language, time zone, date/number format (if available)
- Interface
- Theme (light/dark/system), default views, sidebar behavior
Team Settings¶
- Team Members
- View team name, role/permissions, other members, and shared resources
- Admin Access
- Manage team members, set permissions, view usage, and manage billing
Troubleshooting¶
- Avatar won't upload
- Verify format (PNG, JPG, GIF), size (under 2MB), and try a different browser
- Email change not working
- Check spam folder for verification email and ensure email is valid
- Can't access settings
- Refresh page, clear cache, or log out and back in
Privacy¶
- What's Visible
- Profile may be visible to team admins. Avatar may appear in shared contexts. Email is generally private.
- What You Control
- Update profile, change notification preferences, request data export or account deletion
