Account Dashboard¶
Your account page displays:
- Profile
- Your avatar and name
- Account email address
- Tier
- Current subscription level
- Usage
- Message quota and storage
- Balance
- Available USD credit (if any)

Security¶
Security Best Practices
- Use a unique, strong password
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Review active sessions monthly
- End unfamiliar sessions immediately
- Keep your email account secure

- Enable 2FA for additional security. Scan QR code with authenticator app and save backup codes.

Preferences¶
Notification Settings¶
- Email Notifications
- Configure usage alerts, billing receipts, product updates, and tips
- Usage Alert Thresholds
- Set at 50%, 70%, 80%, or 90% to receive progressive warnings
Progressive Alerts
Set multiple thresholds (e.g., 70% and 90%) to get early warnings before hitting limits.
Billing Preferences¶
- Overflow Handling
- Stop at limit - Assistants stop at monthly quota
- Auto-pay from balance - Use USD balance for overflow
View overflow rates in your Billing Dashboard.
Advanced: API Key Management
Accessing your API key:
- Go to account settings
- Find API key section
- Copy or regenerate key
Keep API Keys Secret
Never share your API key publicly. Treat it like a password. If compromised, regenerate immediately and update all applications.
Data & Privacy¶
- Your Data
- We store account information, conversation history, uploaded files, and usage statistics
- Data Export
- Contact support to request a downloadable export
- Account Deletion
- Contact support to permanently delete your account and all data
Account Deletion is Permanent
All data, assistants, and conversation history will be permanently lost.
Troubleshooting¶
Can't log in¶
- Verify email address is correct
- Check email for verification link
- Reset password if needed
- Clear browser cache and try incognito mode
- Contact support if issues persist
Email not verified¶
- Check spam/junk folder
- Request new verification email
- Add noreply@functionalai.com to contacts
Two-factor authentication issues¶
- Ensure device time is synchronized
- Use backup codes if available
- Contact support to reset 2FA
Changes not saving¶
- Check internet connection
- Ensure you clicked "Save"
- Look for error messages
- Try refreshing and re-entering
Avatar won't upload¶
- Verify format (PNG, JPG, GIF) and size (under 2MB)
- Try a different image or browser
Usage stats seem incorrect¶
- Usage updates in real-time with slight delays
- Check billing cycle dates (counters reset monthly)
- Contact support with specific discrepancies
Can't access premium features¶
- Verify current tier in Account settings
- Allow up to 5 minutes for tier updates
- Log out and back in to refresh session
