Message Limits

Tier Monthly Messages Overflow Rate
Basic 100 $0.02/msg
Medium 750 $0.02/msg
Pro 3,000 $0.02/msg

What counts: Each successful AI response = 1 message (regardless of length, model, or tokens)

What doesn't count: User messages, failed requests, or refunded errors

Message-based billing is simple

10 words or 1,000 words = same cost. No surprises based on response length.

Rate limits: Per-minute caps increase with tier to prevent abuse and ensure fair usage.

Monitoring Usage

  1. Go to Account in sidebar
  2. View progress bars for messages, storage, and resources
  3. Check reset date and days remaining

Progress bar colors:

  • Green (0-60%): Comfortable
  • Yellow (60-80%): Moderate
  • Orange (80-90%): Approaching limit
  • Red (90-100%): At limit

Reset Cycle

With subscription (Medium/Pro): Resets on billing cycle date (same day each month)

Without subscription (Basic): Resets every 30 days

Expired subscriptions: No automatic resets (resubscribe to resume)

Messages don't roll over

Unused quota resets completely each cycle. Each month starts fresh.

At Your Limits

Message limit reached:

  • STOP mode: Messages blocked until reset/upgrade
  • AUTO_PAY mode: $0.02/message from balance, service continues

Resource limits (assistants, stores, storage):

  • Can't create new resources
  • Delete existing or upgrade tier

Yes. All messages count (chat interface, widget, integrations, API).

What if I hit my limit mid-conversation?

STOP mode: Conversation ends | AUTO_PAY mode: Continues at $0.02/message from balance

Can I buy extra messages without upgrading?

Yes. Enable AUTO_PAY and add balance via top-ups. Upgrading is usually more cost-effective.

What happens if my subscription expires?

Tier reverts to Basic with no automatic resets. Resubscribe to resume.
